We may also collect demographic information such as ZIP code. When demographic information is linked to personally identifiable information, it is treated as voluntary personal information. Voluntary personal information does not include aggregate data (data about a group or category of users that has been stripped of information identifying individual users); this policy does not restrict our collection and use of aggregate information.
If you sign up for our SMS service, we may obtain the following information in connection with that service: your mobile phone number, your carrier’s name, and the date, time, and content of your messages, as well as other information you provide. We use that information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the SMS Terms of Service below.
Automatically Generated Information
We may also collect non-personally identifiable information that is generated automatically while you visit the Site, commonly known as log data. This includes information such as IP address, the web pages visited before and after visiting the Site, date and time, domain type, the type of device and browser you use, the pages you view, and the links you click within the Site. We may share personal information outside of the Campaign if: (1) you authorize us to do so; (2) it is necessary to allow our service providers or agents to provide services for us (for example, email delivery, contribution processing, sign delivery, or volunteer coordination); (3) it is necessary in order to provide services to you, including contacting you when necessary; (4) it is necessary in connection with responding to your inquiries, service quality, operations, risk assessment, security, or fraud and crime prevention or detection; (5) it is necessary to disclose in order to protect or defend our rights or property or those of our users; (6) it is necessary to disclose in order to protect the personal safety of our users or the public; (7) it is necessary to provide it to our attorneys, accountants, regulators, auditors, or other advisors; or (8) we are otherwise required or permitted by law to disclose it, including to comply with New York State campaign finance reporting requirements or with legal process served upon us. We may also aggregate your personal information with the information of others and disclose it in aggregate form in a way that does not identify you individually.
Use of Non-Personally Identifiable Information
The Campaign, or service providers acting on our behalf, may use non-personally identifiable information to better tailor content and outreach, to predict responses to communications, to measure and optimize their effectiveness, and for aggregate reporting and internal purposes. Nothing herein restricts the sharing of aggregated, non-personally identifiable information with third parties.
All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent: mobile opt-in information will not be shared with or sold to any third parties.

For your convenience, the Site may link to third-party services. For example, contributions are processed securely by Anedot, and voter tools link to the official NYC Board of Elections and New York State websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of websites or pages not under our control, and we do not endorse the content of those sites. Social Media Platforms
Any information, communications, or material you submit to our pages on a social media platform (such as Facebook or Instagram), whether by email, posting, messaging, uploading, or otherwise, is done at your own risk and without any expectation of privacy. We cannot control the actions of other users of a social media platform, and we are not responsible for content or submissions contained on those platforms. By visiting any of our pages on a social media platform, you represent that you have reviewed and will abide by the applicable privacy policy and terms of use of that platform.
Email Sign-Ups
We welcome your questions and comments and will share your messages with those within the Campaign who are best able to address them. Submitting your email address anywhere on the Site will result in your address being added to the Campaign’s email list. You may unsubscribe at any time using the “unsubscribe” link included in each email, and your address will be removed from our marketing list. Please allow us a reasonable period of time to satisfy your request, as some mailings may already be in process.
Donations
When you make a contribution to Carrie Low for Civil Court Judge, New York State Election Law requires us to collect certain information, including your name, mailing address, and the amount and date of your contribution, and to report contribution information to the New York State Board of Elections in periodic public disclosure filings. Contributions are processed securely by Anedot, our payment processor, under its own privacy policy and terms; any payment card information you provide is used only to process your contribution. Contributions are subject to the limits and requirements of New York State Election Law and are not tax deductible.
Security
We employ and maintain technology and security measures designed to protect your personal information. However, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as 100 percent secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or receive from us.

Your California Privacy Rights
Under California law, California residents have the right to request in writing from businesses with whom they have an established business relationship: (a) a list of the categories of personal information, such as name, email, and mailing address, that the business has disclosed to third parties during the immediately preceding calendar year for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes, and (b) the names and addresses of all such third parties.
